After a restart/power failure I keep getting the "This is a FreeNAS data disk and can not boot system" message. FreeNAS is loaded onto a USB key. I have the BIOS set that the boot order (1 thru 3) is the USB-FDD. Reset and same message. I go into the Mother Board boot menu and choose USB-FDD, still get the message.

Don't understand.

Is it supposed to be USB-HDD?

It should be USB hard disk.

Your USB flash drive probably got corrupted. Reinstall FreeNAS on another flash drive and restore the configuration file (if you have a backup).
