Is there anybody out there who can help me with this one?
I am trying to set up a FreeNas system to stream movies from the FreeNas to my Mac.
I have set up Freenas on an old pc, have created an AFP share to my Mac (G4 processor) which allows guest log in (no password required) and I can see my FreeNas server, can browse and upload files etc. (so far, so good)
However, I also have XBMC (Eden) on my Mac yet that cannot pick up the share! I can't see what I am doing wrong anywhere - the ip address is set up correctly, the path to the desired directory is correct but it does not allow me to see the FreeNas server.

What am I doing wrong?

XBMC doesn't support AFP shares, does it? Share the same folder as a Windows/SMB share and you'll be fine.

Or mount the SMB share on the Mac first, then point XBMC at it as a file path instead of a network path.

Sorry folks. I was having a 'senior' moment there. The drive was there all along in XBMC ready for me to connect to.
