So I was trying to set up an NFS share all weekend and for some reason am not able. My client machines are mac and ubuntu 16. I have tried different options and am not able to get the NFS shared volume to appear on either machine.
So i changed to an AFP share and switched my dataset from NFS to AFP. Both machines are able to connect to AFP dataset perfectly. I am tempted to stick with AFP. Not quite sure what I might be doing wrong.
Any drawbacks to sticking with AFP?
