Hi all.

I want to active several things.
1, add 2x mirror ssds. (I'll have the ports free)
2, move EXISTING iocage entire store here, instead of current location.
3, store bhyve VMs here, including rancherOS.
4, easily map at least 3 jail's back to the main data pool in my HDDs
5, likely map data back from rancherOS to the main pool.
6, set an extra amount of swap / reserve space, so a faulty 240gb SSD can be replaced by a different 240gb SSD.

I'm thinking I may need to make multiple pools?
Iocage, VMs and possibly one called downloads.

My primary concern is those mounts maybe needing to be right at the very very top of my server? (Unsafe?)

/mnt/SSD/iocage/jails/sickrage/root/media/
/mnt/SSD/downloads/complete/sickrage
And
/mnt/ARRAY(HDDs)/media/tv/importdestination/
All need to talk to each other.

Has anyone else done this? It'd be nice to have some high speed disks in my server, but I do want to use multiple types of data on it.

WHAT! You don't know how to do this already? Kidding, me niether. If I were to look into doing this then I'd practice on a VM of FreeNAS and simulate the setup and figure it out. As for setting asside extra swap space, the easy way is to change your default swap space size to whatever you desire, create the pool, restore your default swap space size. Swap space is only created when you create your vdev/pool, once it's created it cannot be changed unless you destroy and recreate the pool. I shouldn't say this is the only way, I'm sure someone could do it manually but why would you for such a small storage amount.

Good luck!
