As stated above, I built a FreeNAS 8.3.1 p2 box with a single 3TB drive in a UFS Volume. I want to now add a second 3TB disk for a RAID1 configuration without losing the data on the first disk. I have done quite a bit of searching but haven't found a definitive answer on if or how this is done. It seems in older versions it couldn't be done, but in newer versions you may be able to use the import feature to do this? Do I need to format the disk for UFS prior to attaching it to my FreeNAS box? Any tips would be great.

Thank you,
Scott

I could be wrong, but I believe that for UFS you must create the mirrored configuration when you create the UFS volume.

GUI does not support this currently, but you could carefully use gmirror from the CLI.
