A little warning regarding Sandisk Cruzer Fit USB drives

My wife was born in Montréal and also lived in Toronto. She's still a Canadian.

Neighbours only if your in Canadian frenchie land somewhere.. otherwise everywhere else it should be neighbors.. eh!

...even if you have mirrored boot USB drives you better have a spare or two on hand as a backup. They're cheap enough that there is no reason not to.

After buying 4 USB thumb drives in the 16GB or 32GB flavors, a descent SSD card can be had, if there is a SATA port/bay available.

Cruzer Fit 16 GB USB 2.0 Flash Drives do not seem to be that reliable any more.
The SATA DOM in my 3? year old FreeNAS Mini failed. I use it as a remote backup box. I ordered a replacement, found it had a very long lead time, and ordered 3 Cruzers. Fitted a pair as a mirrored boot. One lasted just a couple of weeks before a scrub gave a shower of errors and the drive died, locking up the machine (IPMI screen just stayed black after a power on). Longing for the SATA DOM to arrive!
