Good thing you added no offense, or I may have taken offense. I am aware of the 32 bit system RAM limitations. Simply have never worked with anything where 32 bit wasn't sufficient so I didn't even consider it till reading about it in one of the docs.
Recently spent two day with a mechanic of 40+ years ripping apart an airplane because the electrical system seemed fried, yet some components worked in reverse. No, the battery was not hooked up wrong, checked that first. Too bad we didn't put a voltmeter on it first though. Turns out it was reverse polarity charged after the owner hooked it up backwards when it was completely dead.
A wise man once told me, regardless the problem you're troubleshooting, always begin with the simplest, albeit possibly the silliest, solutions. You may be well suited to consider such words in the future.
