I just got this error when trying to log into 8.3.0 http:

"The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later."

This was presented in the middle of my browser with an all white background. NAS services and shares were all running fine. ssh in and restarted django.

//

/usr/local/etc/rc.d/django restart

//

I never had this happen before 8.3.0 and had just been using the web GUI 15 minutes earlier without issue. I did a clean install when I upgraded from 8.2 to 8.3 so everything was fresh and only a few days up.

this sound like the login mask is cached in the browser, but your freenas box has a new ip.
(do you use DNS-name or the IP address?)

Try the IP as you use with ssh. (and clear the browser cache)

This just happened again and I had to restart django again through ssh to get back in through the web GUI.

I got three emails from cron:

Does this have anything to do with the web GUI stopping?

Thanks,

I have the same problem. Installed 8.3.0 on a new machine with RAID1. Django fails often and i have to restart it. Only for it to stop a few minutes later. The graph.py errors come via email several times a day.

Sounds a lot like you need more RAM, why else would django be dying?

same issue here on 8.2 with 8 GB of memory so that can't be the problem if you ask me

I'm seeing it as well, and my box has 128 GB memory.

Any advice other than a ISO upgrade? Or is my USB stick on the fritz (it's 8GB)?

What's your FreeNAS version? There have been a couple of FreeNAS releases that have the same FreeBSD base version. If you aren't using 8.3.1-p2 I'd recommend you upgrade to that.

I'm on 8.3-RELEASE-p4 amd64, but can't get to to the GUI, so would be looking to do an ISO upgrade to any new version if I can't get the GUI back. Would prefer a GUI upgrade as an ISO install means manhandling the server to somewhere with a VGA input.

There was no 8.3 release P4. I'd recommend you just do an ISO upgrade to 8.3.1-p2-x64.
