Hello to all. I am new to the forum and new to Truenas.
I am planning on using this PC up as a plex server for 4K movies connected to my main PC which i plan to watch the movies on a 4 K projector.
My question is about vdevs and pool.
Should i create two different pools with
First option:
1stpool: 6 x 1 TB Hikvision SSD, 1 x Sandisk 1 TB SSD mirror vdev
2ndpool: 3 x TB Marshal HDD + 1 x 18 TB WD WHite HDD mirror vdev
or
Second option:
1stpool:
4 x 1 TB Hikvision SSD mirror vdev
2 x 1 TB Hikvision SSD+ 1 x 1 TB Sandisk SSD mirror vdev
2nd pool:
2ndpool: 3 x TB Marshal HDD + 1 x 18 TB WD White HDD mirror vdev
Which option should is use?
Any suggestions for better options?
if i were to add more hdd and ssd, what should i add like one more 1 gb SSD, or one more 8 TB HDD or another 18 TB WD White for this setup?
Thanks :)
