Im getting a shipment of disks tomorrow, and I do wonder if I shall put all drives parted as
6 Drives in RAID Z-2 or 3 Drives in RAID Z-1
Reason for RAID-Z1 is doubble IO.
Reason for RAID-Z2 is security.
Then for RAID Z-1 Worst thing is happening, and I do loose 1x vdev , 2 of 3 Drives failes in one Volume... Will I then loose the whole Volume ?
BTW: This is more of a hypothetical question, as I do want security =P but my calculation on 100 x Drives will with the RAID-Z2 settup give me an IO of 10, and 2 of 6 Drives sounds quite fair on terms of security.
