OK, so I run more tests last night and got more details from my co-worker who Inserted those drives to Windows.
1. Those are 10 of 4T Seagate BarraCuda SATA Drives.
2. My machine has both SATA and SAS ports on board. (SAS ports support SATA drives as well)
The SATA Ports detect those drives as 1.6T drives, The SAS ports detect those drives as 2T drives.
3. Under Windows server 2016, it shows the same as SATA - 1.6T, SAS -2T (all GPT), It shows the same size during the Windows installation process.
4. BUT With the same configuration on BIOS, if I run FreeNAS installation, all those drives will be detected as 4T drives on SATA ports, 2T on SAS ports
So I think it must be the SATA, SAS driver not compatible with Windows server 2016.
Any idea what SATA SAS driver that FreeNAS 11 using?
