Hello there,

I am totally new at FreeNas, and it is my first post.
I downloaded v11.3 and installed it on my new wannabe server.
It is a H470 Phantom Gaming 4 so it is using an old Intel® I219V chipset for network.
I seems that Intel is good with FreeNas but I have no luck.
I also have a wifi card Archer T6E and it is also not showing. I am not surprised for this one...

So... if i look at other posts, I think this Intel I219V should be working correct? so why is nothing recognised? Do I miss something or should i go to v11.2 or even beta v12?

Thanks

From console, select 9 to get to the shell. Run dmesg | grep igb and dmesg | grep em to see if the NIC driver loaded. If either one did, then run ifconfig -a to see if the OS sees the NIC under igb0 or em0. If it does, the card just needs to have an address installed.

How about lspci -v | grep Ethernet?

Unfortunately, it appears your NIC is too old for either the igb or em driver to recognize.

If you have a PCI-E slot open, you could try getting an Intel PRO/1000 PCI-E Gigabit NIC. They're fairly cheap on Amazon, and should be supported by the em driver.
