Hello folks, I'm new here!
I will be building a new NAS in the upcoming months. However I will require som help in choosing parts. The plan is to have a long term media storage and backup server for home use. There will not be more than 3 users needing to access the server at any time. I will be running plex and have at most 2-3 streams in 1080p. Storage wise I am planing to use a 6-drive setup in RAIDZ2. Due to physical space limitations an mini ITX system is the most viable.
From what I gather in the parts recommendation PDF in the forum, as well as other forum threads, I will most likely need an atom based platform, 8-16 gb ecc ram. Is there some parts that I should stay away from, or gravitate towards? Budget is 500-1000 USD without drives.
Also, what are your recommendations for case? I am thinking Fractal Design Node 304.
