zpool import failed with 'no such pool available'

Hi,

I have been using FreeNAS several years now and yesterday the usb drive with the FreeNAS installation failed - lots of read errors on the console. I have setup a new usb drive with the same FreeNAS release 11.0-U4 and imported my latest backup config. Unfortunately, I cannot import the pool anymore.

The pool was not encrypted.

I am not sure what happened and how to fix it. Please let me know if further information is required.

Thanks for the follow up. Unfortunately I was not able to resolve this. It seems that the pool was encrypted after all. I chose manual setup, there is no warning / hint if encryption option is enabled compared to the default screen. Bad luck. Fortunately, I have a recent backup, no data lost. Next time I will save the key, for sure. Thanks anyway!
