ZPool degraded, but I can't see which disk is the issue

Hello, I'm using FreeNas 9.10 and my zpool is showing as degraded on the system. It's a mirror, but I can't see which of the two disks is supposedly the problem.

The drives are WD Red 4TB. I've tried running SMART tests on the two disks, but there doesn't seem to be anything obvious in the results (below) to show what the issue is and I can't find anything in the GIU. Can anyone give me some pointers? Thanks in advance.

Happy to post full details of system if required, but I'm assuming they aren't relevant at this stage.

What does zpool status -v (in the shell) output?

Note that you have SMR drives which are not recommended for FreeNAS/TrueNAS, though not clear this is related to your issue today.

Not the issue at hand, but why are you still on such an old version of FreeNAS?

The oldmain pool is an older copy of the pool that I duplicated onto the current drives when I needed more space. One of the drives it was on is still attached in the NAS, but it looks like the system can't see it. I guess I should delete the pool from the system at some point.

Noted re: the SMR drives. Is that a recommendation for reasons of data security, or drive wear?

I'm on such an old version because I have two young kids and putting aside enough time to migrate something that works OK is difficult! It's on the list though!

OK - you need to replace the unavailable drive in main (and, yes, I'd pull those of "oldmain", too).

Look at this from the resource section on SMR drives https://www.truenas.com/community/resources/list-of-known-smr-drives.141/

This SMR issue may bite you in the bum on resilver time as you rebuild your pool, even with a CMR drive as the replacement new drive.

Understood on the old version and "the list".
