Hi,

has anyone installed Zoneminder 1.36.12 app on TrueNAS scale? I was trying to build docker image for Debian, but due to some dependency the process has failed.

BTW – how you can compare performance of ZM in jail vs in docker?

Thank you!

You could use this as an opportunity to switch to using Frigate... TrueCharts already has it.

Hi @sretalla

Interested in how you setup all the config requirements through the UI for Frigate. Should they be env variables or something else.

I'm not getting questions to be able to populate the traditional config.yaml that is needed for Frigate to run.

e.g how do you change the mqtt hostnmae and settings through the UI
and define camera paths etc etc.

Any screenshots. ?

When i just accept all the defaults i get an error in the log complaining about the config file

Hi @brettjonesoz1, I'm stuck in the same place. I was diving in the deployed directory (/xxx/ ... /ix-applications/catalogs/github_com_truecharts_catalog_main/incubator/frigate/1.0.1/) and I saw the ix_values.yaml with template values, but I don't know the proper way to change them to suit my needs. In the GUI (Apps->Installed Applications->Frigate->(three dots) Edit) I can't find the mqtt configuration, ffmpeg hardware acceleration o cameras config. I was reading the docs but I need some advice pointing me in the right direction.
Maybe the missing questions can be added to the GUI configuration? Should I edit some of the .yaml with the right values?
Perhaps someone can shed some light on this ...
Thanks

I would have a look at the App Config Storage and make that a Host path to give you a more direct way to find it on your host, then check it for the config file.

Frigate was added some while ago, but the guy who did all the work didn't finish it.
It most likekly won't work.
If there is a list of required values for the app to start, I can make some modifications.
After that each user will have to edit the configuration file.
Either by entering shell and using nano, or enabling our VS Code Addon.
If you have the required values list. Open a thread in #delelopment in our discord and tag me (stavros-k).
