Yesterday my boot flash drive died on me and I was forced to shutdown my server through IPMI. Today I through a pair of mirror'd boot drives in to replace them and restored a previous config I had saved, however immediatley afterwards I got a critical email saying one of my volumes status is unknown.

I ran zpool status -v and the drive isn't listed.

NOTE: There is no message following the UNKOWN warning.
NOTE 2: The config file was from an older build of FreeNAS 9.3 (probably from November~), and I installed the latest stable build

Does it appear in the "import volume" option?

I feel stupid, I checked the bios and one of my three 4tb drives isn't showing up, so I must have loosened the SATA cable and/or swapped in a bad one when I remanaged the cables.

At least you admitted it. :D
Now can you change this from "Problem" to "Solved"? ;)
