I'm having an issue with zeroconf and netbios, specifically to do with service advertisement. If I restart the freenas box all of my shares (CIFS and AFP) appear in Finder/Explorer, however, very quickly after they will all disappear.
Using JBonjourBrowser I see that everything is being advertised correctly
and then soon after..
I've tried messing around with different CIFS auxiliary parameters, at the moment I have the following to force the box to become the master browser:
os level = 99
domain master = yes
preferred master = yes
local master = yes
I've also messed around with wins support = yes and setting the correct option in my DHCP offers to point to the freenas box but that also sill leads to instability
Is there anything here that I have missed? Is there another samba option I should be selecting? Is it something to do with Avahi? I will be happy to provide more detailed information about my network if that will help.
