WOL subnet broadcast in jail

Hi,

Trying to use a jail to send a wol packet to another PC (same subnet), using the wol pkg.

If I omit the IP so it does a subnet broadcast, PC doesnt wake:

Waking up XX:XX:XX:XX:XX with 255.255.255.255:9...

If I specify the IP with -i, it works:

Waking up XX:XX:XX:XX:XX with 192.168.0.10:9...


Is there something I've missed in the jail setup to allow broadcasts? Screenshot attached

Was VIMAGE checked when the jail was created?

Yes it was, is that why? I had my suspicions it might cause an issue but I'm very new to FreeNAS!

Nope, vimage is required for apps needing a broadcast address, so that's not the issue.

I'll double check it works outside the jail on the root machine, in case it's something with my setup in general!

Works on main machine but not from the jail. Everything looks the same between the 2 on ifconfig so any ideas?

If I specify a broadcast address of 192.168.0.255 it works, so I guess something is up with the jail and the 255.255.255.255 limited broadcast address?
