Windows VM boots to a EFI Shell

Go to devices and select my windows.iso
Power on.
boots to efi shell (why?).
enter exit and select cdrom in efi options again.
press continue.
efi shell anyway.
Why?

Which TrueNAS version? Why are you posting in "Legacy Software Releases'?

If it's a current release like 13.x you are in the wrong forum, but anyway: check the device order. The CDROM device should come before the hard disk zvol.

I chose 32bit OS. Hence the problem.
