I was wondering if it was possible to store windows roaming profiles on freenas.

I'm not sure if it is possible because I think roaming profiles needs windows perms,
but if I'm wrong, would be nice to figure out how to do something like this

I'm new to freenas but i'm no stranger to windows and roaming profiles. You should be able to set it up with out any problems. I am currently using roaming profiles with openfiler with out any issues. From what I can tell about the permission structure in freenas, freenas would probably play nicer with roaming profiles than openfiler.

Tip: In openfiler I had to create a subfolder under the share i wanted to use for roaming profiles. I couldn't apply the windows permissions to the root of the share. For example if I had a share "\\nas\profiles", that wouldn't work. I'd have to create a folder so in windows the storage location would be "\\nas\profiles\roaming\%username%\". From what I can tell with freenas the "roaming" folder in my example may not be needed. In short you shouldn't have a problem.
