Why can't FreeNAS work on a trunk port?

Cisco 3550 switch, freenas 8.3. on server with 2 nics, can't talk across switchport in trunk mode must be in access mode. And why does DHCP setup both nics on same subnet but gui forces different?

Is this still an issue? It sounds like a configuration error.

If you are mixing tagged and untagged traffic, my suggestion is to make it all tagged. Some gear doesn't work right otherwise.
