So got a security email from my FreeNAS server running the latest stable 9.3 build. It started with a string of the first entry below and then changed over to the error with intermittent queue overflows.

I can't figure out what is going wrong and searching on the error stings has just confused me.

This bug report: https://bugs.freenas.org/issues/4863 makes me think that the overflow has nothing to do with the other and is harmless but reading on the FreeBSD forums has confused me.

Any ideas? Am I being to paranoid? did I misconfigure something when I setup my CIFS shares?

The overflow messages are not an issue.
The smbd messages, these are likely not an issue either so long as you are not having issues accessing your storage. See this thread.
