When using the Web GUI to restart the AFP service, or upon reboot, new /etc/afpd.conf and /etc/local/AppleVolumes.defaults files are created overwriting the existing customized files. While this behavior is normal, it would be nice to have the Web GUI either append files, or offer and "Advanced" area where users could add additional options for example
adding the option -uservolfirst to /etc/afpd.conf
or adding the line
~ "$f"
to the /etc/local/AppleVolumes.defaults which allows each user to be presented with their home folder as a share point.
but in lieu of these solutions it would just be nice if it didn't overwrite any customized files on reboot or service restart.
