The old rule applies here. If you have to ask how to virtualize your NAS, then you shouldn't be doing it...

You should not attempt to dual boot, as that defeats the entire purpose of making a server...it won't be online if you're booted into Windows.

Save yourself the trouble and headaches. Either get a second computer, or just install Windows on your hardware and share your files from there.... don't try to shoehorn FreeNAS into something that precarious.

What do you need Windows for? If it's running in the background as a server, Windows in a VM on FreeNAS works fine for me.

Is that what you're running, or what you're proposing to run? If the former, stop. If the latter, don't. If you need to run some Windows software, do as @AdrianWilliamson suggests--install FreeNAS, add a VirtualBox jail, and install Windows in a VM there. Note that this process will likely change significantly when FreeNAS 10 is released using bhyve as the built-in hypervisor.
