I have a lagg setup and want to cross a bunch of vlans over it. how can I setup trunk mode access on my lagg in FreeNAS? OR do I just need to set my switch port to tagged for the vlans I want?

thanks!

just setup the vlans, with the lagg as master.

Yes, you setup VLANs in freenas and attach them to the LAGG. Then your switch will of course also need the LAGG setup, and you trunk the VLANs to the LAGG on the switch.

And you need to make sure the underlying configurations (for the actual interfaces, and for lagg0) are all setup with no IP addresses but "up" for extra parameter, which forces an apparently unused interface to be configured anyways.
