VirtualBox to BHyve

I'm still running 9.10.1-U4 because that's the last version to support VirtualBox. Obviously I want to update and be running the latest stuff and patch the vulnerabilities but I've been putting off the updates because I run virtual machines.
What do I need to do to migrate my virtual box machines to bhyve?
I saw in the recent version there is a VM option, though I haven't toyed with it much.
Tips, suggestions and instructions are much appreciated.

You may be able to use VBoxManage to convert your VM disk images to a RAW format. Once you've done that, you should be able to use dd. I'm not an expert on this. You do this at your own risk.

dd if=/path/to/raw.img of=/dev/zvol/<pool name>/<zvol name>
