Virtual machine start, stop and restart network card dropout

Hello,

I'm running one virtual machine on a supermicro Truenas server. It has 32GB ram and Xeon processor, with Intel X520-DA1 NIC.

When I start the virtual machine (4GB) ram, I notice that the server stops responding and ping to sever drops for about 15 sec. The web interface also drops out during this time. 15 secs later the web and pings return.

What could be causing this issue?
