Virtual Box, Gast Erweiterung, Shared Volume Berechtigung

Hallo Zusammen,

ich hoffe das mir hier jemand helfen kann. Ich habe eine VM mit Windows 10 Pro unter Freenas 9.10 laufen. Ich habe die Gasterweiterung installiert um das Shared Volume nutzen zu können. Das funktioniert soweit auch.

Mein Problem:
Ich kann Dateien die in dem Shared Volume ertellt habe kann ich von ausserhalb der VM-Umgebung nicht ändern / löschen da diese unter dem User "Unix User\Andreas" erstellt werden. Erstell ich in der VM die Datei über das Netzwerk direkt werden diese unter dem User "Unix User\Nobody" erstellt und alles ist gut.

Ich habe schon im Internet nach einer Lösung gesucht, leider ohne erfolg. Wäre super wenn jemand rat wüsste.

War da nicht etwas das Du ausserhalb einen User mit der gleichen User oder Group ID brauchst ? Das sollte irgendwo im Guide stehen...

Hallo,
kannst du das bitte etwas genauer Erklären. Du meinst, wenn ich zum Beispiel mit meinem Laptop auf eine Datei zugreifen möchte, dein mit der VM erstellt wurde? Muss dann auf dem Laptop-Rechner ein User-ID geändert werden? Wie ach ich das (Es läuft unter Windows 10 pro). Bin leider etwas überfordert im Moment, oder ich steh total auf dem Schläuche....

When you are adding storage, it is typically because the user and group account associated with an application installed inside of a jail needs to access data stored on the FreeNAS® system. Before selecting the “Source”, it is important to first ensure that the permissions of the selected directory or dataset grant permission to the user/group account inside of the jail. This is typically not the default, as the users and groups created inside of a jail are totally separate from the users and groups of the FreeNAS® system.


This means that the workflow for adding storage is usually as follows:

1. Determine the name of the user and group account used by the application. For example, the installation of the transmission application automatically creates a user account named transmission and a group account named transmission. When in doubt, check the files /etc/passwd (to find the user account) and /etc/group (to find the group account) inside of the jail. Typically, the user and group names are similar to the application name. Also, the UID and GID are usually the same as the port number used by the service.
2. On the FreeNAS® system, create a user account and group account to match the name of the user and group used by the application in the jail.
3. On the FreeNAS® system, determine if you want the jail to have access to existing data or if you want to set aside an area of storage for the jail to use.
4. If the jail should access existing data, edit the permissions of the volume or dataset so that the user and group account has the desired read and write access. If multiple applications or jails are to have access to the same data, you will need to create a separate group and add each needed user account to that group.
5. If you are instead setting aside an area of storage for that jail (or individual application), create a dataset. Then, edit the permissions of that dataset so that the user and group account has the desired read and write access.
6. Use the “Add Storage” button of the jail and select the configured volume/dataset as the “Source”.

Und Du willst das ganze ja nur anders rum, das der User im Jail auf die externen Daten schreiben kann. Bzw. das Du dann mit einem externen User auf die vom jailUser geschriebenen Daten zugreifen kannst, oder?
Dann müssen Gruppen/ACLs stimmen


Oder ich habe ggf die Fragestellung missverstanden, vlt kannst Du die bei Bedarf nochmal etwas genauer erläutern

Ok, ich habe mich mit den Berechtigung noch nicht so sehr beschäftigt, da es bisher nicht nötig war. Ich bin der einzige der im Netzwerk auf die Daten zugreift und daher gab es keinen Grund die Zugriffsrechte einzuschränken. Ich werde mal versuchen was ich hin bekomme. Wirklich verstanden habe ich das bis jetzt noch nicht :)

Dh. Du musst in Freenas auch einen "Unix User\Andreas" anlegen und dich als dieser an den Share oä verbinden.

Ok, hab es hinbekommen. Ich habe einen Uni User\Andreas angelegt, und eine Gruppe sharedmedia. Den User Andreas Habe ich der Gruppe sharedmedia zugewiesen und meinen Dataset auf den ich zugreifen möchte ebenfalls in diese Gruppe gepackt. Jetzt funktioniert alles so wie ich es möchte.
