Very simple question about RaidZ expandability

Hi,
I am using a 3 drives (4TB) RaidZ pool, and I'm about to reach 50% capacity. I know performance is degrading a lot after 50%.
Question: Is there a simple way to grow the pool from 3 to 4 drives, and to remain RaidZ ? without having to restore the data from backup?
It should be possible. I know for sure this is possible for non-ZFS Raid 5 software or hardware RAID configurations.

Thanks a lot

raidz expansion is not yet possible. It's a planned feature for a future version of opzenzfs and maybe arrive later 2022.
Right now your only option for expansion would be to add another 3 drives in a new vdev or create a backup on an external drive, destroy your pool and recreate it with 4 drives.

Note that the 50% full number is for pools with zVols, which are pseudo disks. If you are not using VMs in zVols, then the percent full before taking action is 80%
