/var/run/samba/smbd.pid ?? cant find that file

Hi guys, My samba cannot start.
As part of the log, Im seeing a

Code:

smbd not running? (check /var/run/samba/smbd.pid).

but that file doesnt exist.

the only file inside that folder is secrets.tdb

is that normal?
