Using an older configuration file on fresh install

Can one use a configuration file from 9.3 to configure a fresh install of version 10? Both of my USB boot drives were toasted and the only config file I have is from when I upgraded from 9.3 to 10 at the end of last year. No changes to the zpool after the upgrade, and I want to be able to restore the zpool after the install.

Don't install v10 (Corral). It isn't supported.

I would start with the latest version on 9.10 and start there.
