Upgraded 11.1-U6.3 --> 11.1-U7 --> 11.2-U4.1 without a hitch, though I did need to be patient for each update to complete.

Hmmm this is not quite right...

Dashboard is reporting: Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E3-1271 v3 @ 3.60GHz (8 cores)

Should be reading 4 cores ( and 8 threads ).

Not sure I like the new interface. Seems more cumbersome trying to find options and configuration settings.

My rationale for doing the double upgrade was to minimize potential conflicts moving from 11.1 to 11.2.
My reason for upgrading was the iocage bug in 11.1 which prevented VM's with later linux kernels booting.
Since the upgrade to 11.2 the affected linux VM now boots all ok as it should without any alterations. Wooo hooo!

iocage jails do seem to be better under 11.2.

The UPS bug referred to shuts down the system when the UPS battery gets low - regardless of how you configure the system to behave. I don't think this would be a showstopper for most home systems, but I will be watching for the fix. I don't like waiting for the UPS battery to report low and then hope there is enough power for the system to shut down gracefully.
