Unusual problem continuous spacing

Yesterday our FreeNas 8.2.0 release P1-x64 (r11950) came to a halt and said that one of the drives hadn't written correctly in that the write had been interrupted. So I have done an fsck at shell and the whole thing has come back up again, except that when the main screen connected to the server finishes loading the command prompt at the bottom starts to space and keeps spacing unless you press ESC in which case it stops and you can back space but then it starts to space again after a while. Not experienced anything like this before. Anybody know what it is?

Not sure what your problem is exactly, but 8.2.0 has been outdated for 2+ years. Your best bet is to upgrade (probably to new media just to rule out the boot media as the cause) and then upload your config file.
