Hi,
I created a 4x 8TB USB-HDD raidz1 pool to backup my 4x 8TB SATA raidz1 pool.
I would import the exported pool via gui "import existing pool" and unmount it by gui via "export/disconnect pool".
Is there anything else I need to do before unplugging the USB-Drives like in windows where I need to wait until windows tells me to unplug it, so I don't disrupt any cached writes to the drive?
Edit:
I found this in the FreeBSD forum. Looks like FreeNAS doesn't eject USB-Drives by itself:
Is there a way to do this without console via GUI?
I really want to make sure that the USB-HDDs are properly shut down so the harddrive heads move to parking position so I don't get get a headcrash or something while storing the drive.

# camcontrol eject /dev/da4
Unit stopped successfully, Media ejected
# usbconfig -d ugen0.5 power_off
