I attempted to restart my FreeNAS server (HP DL380 G7) after a couple of weeks downtime (travelling and not required) my system would not restart and returned the error below:

Code:
freenas failed to fully fault in a core file segment VA 0x80064e000 with size 0x1000 to be written at offset 0x39000 for process on3.6

Im not sure how to diagnose this and restore the system.

I took a photo of the scrolling error (different reboot and slightly different error message ids) on the screen as seen below.

Any assistance in restoring my server would be appreciated.

I'm using a separate SD card
It could be failing, try setting up a new boot device and restoring your configuration. (You do have a backup, right? ;))

SD cards are like USB flash drives... unreliable at best.

Fortunately yes I do. I thought USB/flash drives were the recommended boot device? Are there any recommendations for a reliable boot option? (2nd boot fail in a couple months)

A normal sad is the recommended now. They cost about the same as a USB stick these days, are faster and way now reliable.

Almost certain that will remedy the issue.

I use a generic BestBuy 120gb SSD... it was the cheapest one I could get "right now" at the time my USB boot device failed. Much more reliable. Hardly anything ever gets written to it, except boot environments. In theory, should outlast the usefulness of the machine.

I'm trying to install onto the new SSD (120gb Kingston) is there a normally a really long delay on the boot loader with the new install process (multiple hours when trying to start the install from the external USB)

Your config is backed up in the system dataset.
