I am trying to add a replacement disk to my pool. I had a disk start failing smart tests so i ordered a new drive..offlined the failing disk..did the physical swap..and then tried to replace. I get this error when i run replace:
Replacing Disk
Error: [EFAULT] Failed to wipe disk da6: [EFAULT] Command dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/da6 bs=1m count=32 failed (code 1): dd: /dev/da6: Invalid argument 1+0 records in 0+0 records out 0 bytes transferred in 0.001067 secs (0 bytes/sec)

A quick wipe fails with the same error but a full wipe succeeds. I am running 11.3U4.

found this issue..the disk is not reporting freespace that matches the other disks...so zfs is not going to lalow it to be added. i swapped out another disk and i was able to get the disk to integrate..things are resilvering now..:)
