Turning off UPSMON

Hi,

I (tried) enabled the UPS service (through the WEB UI) and even though it is no longer running, on the console the below message keeps scrolling. Is there anyway to turn it off?
upsmon[2503]: UPS [APC}: connect failed: Connection failure Connection refused
