I just spent 3 days trying different configurations for the ACL and still not getting what I wanted so I just came here begging for some brilliant brain to give me a hand.
what I want to achieve is to have a particular group with permission to create files and folders but not allowed to delete them after that, The users in the group could come back and modify the files or rename the folders, and this has to be inerted by all the subfolders.
I tried removing the delete option on advance ACL but this did not work. when I removed the delete child option as well they were not allowed to delete the folder and files but now they can't change the name of the folder or file and because most of my users use Windows that means that all the new folders and files will have the default new folder or new file name, so this won't work.
I'm using version TrueNAS-13.0-U5.3
