Hello,

I recently built a NAS with a ryzen 5 5600g and put truenas scale on it. I noticed that there isn't any temperature data provided.

Does scale support the 5600g? If the CPU overheats, will it shut down?

Thanks!

Overhead protection is a function of the system firmware, specifically the part that stays resident in System Management Mode. It should not be affected by this.
As for the lack of temperature indication, it probably needs a newer kernel than is shipped with TrueNAS Scale at the moment.

Yes, your CPU will be fine. You can file a bug on https://jira.ixsystems.com for us to fix the temperature issue though. Please attach a debug file. (System - Advanced - Download Debug)

Kris, thank you! I created a bug with the debug file and a link to this post.
