TrueNAS Core Install Docs - "FreeBSD UEFI Bug with ESXi" section doesn't make sense

In the official TrueNAS Core install documentation there is an expander under the virtual machine install tab titled "FreeBSD UEFI Bug with ESXi" with the following text:
VMWare products and EFI boot mode: A third party bug currently affects EFI (UEFI) booting on VMWare products. TrueNAS should be installed in BIOS mode until this is resolved. See VMware article Host Fails to Boot After You Install ESXi in UEFI Mode.
But the linked VMware article is about booting ESXi itself, not about booting a guest OS such as TrueNAS/FreeBSD so this would seem to be irrelevant?
At the very least it's placement directly below the minimum VM settings gives the impression that this is about the settings you should set for the VM (ESXi allows you to select BIOS or UEFI boot for the VM).

Is there some other reason to choose BIOS vs EFI boot for the TrueNAS VM, and perhaps the linked article is the wrong one?
