Hello All,

I was quite excited to get all my parts delivered last week and my new box assembled over the weekend. Put everything together, did some snazzy cable management (Fractal R5 is a nice box) and then....nothing.

Checked all my connections, ram, cpu, power connectors, etc. Then I took a look at the power LED indicators:

LE3 - Onboard Power - Green
LE5 - BMC Heartbeat - Green and flashing
Le6 - Power Status - Red (uh oh)

Took the board out of the case and tried just the mobo, PSU, CPU and RAM. Same issue. I noticed another thread here that suggested that the mobo may be defective. Before I RMA the thing, I was hoping to get anyone's input on this issue. Perhaps a picture of your mobo (SL7) to see if I am missing anything obvious.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Cheers!

Double check the jumper settings on the actual motherboard. It does sound that the board is defective.

All jumper settings were in original / default config.

The IPMI LAN wouldn't even light up...

Is the RAM from the compatibility list? Also make sure your CPU is seated correctly.
