I have a 0.7.x system with 4*2TB ZFS RAIDZ5.
Is it possible to unjack the 0.7, install 0.8, make a command line import of the zpool and then just run the system? ( I dont care how the web-interface reports it, but I would like S.M.A.R.T. to work.)
Would this tamper with my ZFS filesystem and make it impossible to downgrade to 0.7 if I choose too? I am worried I might not suceed running Serviio on 0.8, and also a bit worried about performance, I have only 4GB memory.
The direct reason is that I would like to get a newer version of ffmpeg than the one in 0.7 and I have beaten my head against the wall trying to install a newer version.
