System not fully completing shutdown

I've tried various means of shutting down my FreeNAS server (WebUI, cli via SSH, as well as from the main cli menu on monitor), with all resulting in the same thing... it never goes beyond acpi0: Powering system off and system never powers off without manual intervention by either flipping the power switch or via an IPMI immediate shutdown command.

The only thing I can think of is possibly a BIOS or UEFI setting, but I'm not sure what setting that would be.

You should first check for a BIOS or UEFI firmware update from the motherboard manufacturer.

Probably a real longshot, but I've seen a suggestion to try setting

hw.usb.no_shutdown_wait=1
