Syncthing permission denied

Hello there.

Everything works fine with the base setup of Syncthing.

Something goes wrong only when I try to mount my data pool: at that time I am requested to select (or create) an empty directory below the jail dir and I see that such new directory ownsership is root:wheel. This makes the directory not accessible (permission denied).

I am struggling in solving this issue.
Can someone pls address me correctly ?

You did not specify how you installed Syncthing. Plugin or jail?

You will need to change the ownership of the data directory to match user and group ID of the Syncthing user.

The fact was...there was no syncthing user in truenas. This guy solved my headhake:
