Syncthing on truenas scale permission problem on dataset

So I have the lates truenas scale as of January 2023 on an hp mini server. I installed syncthing from the available apps. I also created a data set for use by syncthing. Once I run syncthing I get permission denied. I then created an smb share inside the dataset and syncthing is still unable to get access to it. It is also unable to create a folder inside said dataset. Anyone have any guide on how the permissions should be set to give syncthing access to a dataset that is not the default folder used by syncthing by default?

When I was setting up my dataset I had to add the user: apps to the ACL as that is what all the apps use. Unless you changed it but I know for the apps to write to anything I had to have that in my ACL.
