After my refurb P9D-M motherboard from Asus was DOA, I have found these two Supermicro boards.
Already have:
i3 4170
4x4TB WD red (raid z2)
16 GB Crucial UDIMM
550W Evga gold
1. SUPERMICRO MBD-X10SLL-F-O
(2 Sata 3 and 4 SATA 2) C222
OR
2. SUPERMICRO MBD-X10SLM
(4 SATA3 and 2 SATA2, USB 3 on I/O, c224)
I have the Intel i3 4170 (haswell refresh), hopefully these mobos come with BIOS 2.0 as I read that many users were having problems flashing the bios, etc.
What do you guys think? Is the second option (more expensive) any better in any other way than the first option?
if I want to use IMPI, will I have to purchase any special add-on to use the feature and what software do I need for these Supermicro IMPI featrues on my PC?
PS: I want to run iSpyConnect an IP camera program in a jail running windows. Is that possible? Will I have to assign one of my Ethernet outputs for that?
thanks for you help!
