I was wondering if anyone had some opinions on this board. I love that fact that it can expand up to 128GB of ECC mem. Not that I'm ever going to put that much in there but I like everything except for the fact that i would have loved to have 6xSataIII ports but this board only has 2xSataIII ports and 4xSataII ports at 3GB\sec. I may just go and get a couple of sata cards at 6GB\sec. What do you guys think, Not necessary?

I am primarily using this for the house but i have 4 Home theater PCs so streaming video and downloading is kinda huge for me as all my recordings go to my NAS and all my movies are stored on my NAS as well.

SATA II can transfer up to 300MB/s and the fastest HDDs manage to get just above 200MB/s of throughput. SATA 6G isn't necessary for anything but SSDs so no need for extra controllers except for adding more drives in the future. Dunno about how well FreeNAS works on AMD hardware as almost everyone here runs on Intel
