Hi, I want to build a cheap and low energy consumption NAS. The following is the hardware I am thinking about:

- MB ASRock E350M1 http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/E350M1/index.it.asp?cat=Specifications

- HD Caviar Green 1TB http://www.amazon.com/dp/B006GDVREI/?tag=ozlp-20

- RAM Trascendent 2GB http://www.amazon.com/Transcend-256Mx64-Ddr3-1066-Cl7-Dim/dp/B001BPH2ZY/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=21L8LGY1C4DJK&coliid=I3CCXBOL6U8RHI

I want to use Plex(max 2 concurrent users) and Transmission. Do you think that this configuration is good enough ?
Thanks

Probably not.

Search for a thread named "host is down" posted by Santi on Monday.

He just built a system with the same motherboard.

Afraid not. The E-350 is below the minimum suggested spec for Plex for a single user, never mind two - you'll likely have serious quality degradation.

In addition to what gpsguy mentioned above, that board also has no ECC support, and you've only got 2GB of RAM so ZFS is off the table.
