Hey guys,
I struggled into a little problem today. I wanted to delete an old ssl certificate on my TrueNAS system. I was not able for deleting that ssl certificate because it was still binded with two services which were deactivated for months because they were not needed anymore. I had to do a very long troubleshooting and reverse engineering for finding out that the ssl certificate was still binded to two deactivated services an therefore the last config set-up for this two deactivated services was still saved in the config database file of TrueNAS.
I thought: It would be a nice feature if you can reset only services to their own factory defaults after deactivating them over the Web UI.
I have made a suggestion for implementing that in the iX Systems Jira tool:
https://jira.ixsystems.com/browse/NAS-110486
Pleas vote if you are thinking this is a good idea for fixing.
Best,
Daniel
